The Woods In The Woods (Unlimited)- TWITWU
Our annual gathering of The Woods players takes place in the heart of the stunning Gloucestershire woodland.
It’s the perfect way to learn how to play, meet fellow players, refine your strategy and check out artefacts from the Oakbound collection.
It’s absolutely free to come and play but if you are able to book yourself a (free) ticket using the link below this helps us plan for capacity.
What do I need to take part?
Some miniatures! They don’t have to be Oakbound, we’re more than happy to see how other ranges have been brought into the setting, but we do ask that they be painted. Everyone enjoys a pretty game and we’re going to be pulling out the stops on providing scenic tables for you.
What does 'Unlimited' mean?
The U it TWITWU stands for Unlimited. This means that you can play any Oakbound game, using rules from any book, article or supplement- including lists those from our monthly newsletter The Acorn.
How will the day be organised?
Scenic 3′ tables will be provided for your use. Play as many games against as many players as you like and can fit into the day. You can develop and expand your warband as you go, treating the day as a mini-campaign. You’re equally welcome to arrange multi-player games. All we ask is that tables are left as you found them.
How do I book?
Places are free but please book so we know what numbers to expect. Tea, coffee and soft drinks are provided throughout. Please bring your own lunch.
Where is it?
TWITWU is held outdoors in beautiful woodland near Nailsworth Gloucestershire. There are undercover areas in case of inclement weather but please bring weather-appropriate attire. The ground underfoot at and approaching the site is uneven so take extra care driving and walking once you leave the main road.
Are Children Welcome?
This is primarily a gaming event for adults, however you are welcome to bring children provided they have an interest in the games and treat the other gamers with respect. Please accompany your children at all times, they are your responsibility and neither Oakbound nor Wild Woodland Celebrations will be held accountable should they disappear off into the undergrowth, run out onto the road or cause themselves and others harm in any way. By bringing a child under 18 to this event you take full responsibility for their safety and behaviour. Unaccompanied under 18s will not be allowed on site.
Shows
Shows and events are one of our favourite things, an opportunity to meet and chat with people as passionate about or games as we are ourselves! We regularly attend gaming shows across the south of England.
