Keep it friendly, keep it local,
keep it hand-made!
Hi, I'm Geoff, owner of Oakbound Studio, a small, family-run games company from Gloucestershire, UK. By training I'm a propmaker for stage and screen, but nowadays I mostly make miniature worlds in addition to a day job teaching modelmaking at a UK university.
Oakbound was founded in 2014 to make the kind of miniatures we wanted to paint and play with. Figures in the aesthetics of 80s and 90s British fantasy drawing heavily on faerie myths and folklore. Over a decade on and our range keeps growing, with a series of tabletop games joining the fold. Our ethos remains the same- it's about getting people together, sharing and creating stories together and just having fun!
Our miniatures are hand-crafted using traditional techniques. We design, sculpt and cast our miniatures in-house, whilst the mouldmaking is done just 20 miles away in the historic town of Tewkesbury. We cast using recycled British pewter and tin, creating no waste as every miscast just goes straight back in the pot. Occasionally we use resin for larger miniatures but we try to reduce the wastage from this wherever possible.
We use traditional artists and illustrators. You won't find any AI-generated content in our products, and we intend to keep it that way.
